  • CMC - Engineer

    Job Description

    This is a 24/7 team responsible for production systems health monitoring, escalation handling and standardized communication of all Incident Management within the Technical Operations organization. Successful candidates must be able to multi-task and prioritize system events according to severity and escalation procedures. Candidates must be comfortable communicating quickly and accurately in the event of production emergencies, both with internal and external groups. This individual must also be comfortable navigating through both Linux and Windows environments and be involved in actively troubleshooting and/or resolving production issues. Candidates must also be flexible to work a combination of day, evening and or third shifts as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitoring - 24x7x365 Health monitoring of Linux and Windows environments hosting various based web, network, mobile and telephony platforms using server, network and application monitoring systems.
    • Escalation Ownership - production issues are escalated and driven to resolution via troubleshooting, communication, and subsequent updates. Issues are owned from start to finish and tracked in the Enterprise Incident Management ticketing system. The Operations Center is responsible for gathering troubleshooting information either for direct resolution or for an escalation destination party.
    • Flexible with the ability to handle stressful situations, such as initiating emergency conference bridge calls and sending quick and accurate outage notifications. Use of Standardized Communications for Customer communications, Scheduled Maintenances and Service Interruptions.
    • Monitoring of the Infrastructure Change Management policies and procedures. Communicating between departments, vendors and partners as a central repository for information regarding production sites, Customer Support, Help Desk and Core Systems issues across the entire organization.
    • Providing Application Support for Linux and Windows applications, including performing various system administration tasks and performing standard operating procedures as needed to maintain system health.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of previous Operations Center or equivalent experience.
    • MUST be comfortable working in a command line as well as GUI environment.
    • 2+ years of direct experience (running scripts, grepping logs, troubleshooting errors).
    • 2+ years of direct Windows experience (running scripts, processing event log messages, troubleshooting errors).
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Must be able to accurately report information in a timely manner.
    • Any junior system administration skills a plus.
    • Experience with Science Logic is a plus.
  • Service Desk Analyst

    Job Description

    Service desk analysts perform first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting support to end-users. Working under minimal supervision, receiving events via calls, email, and web services to provide support in accordance with established Service Level agreements and documented processes. Analysts will provide shift-based 7x24x365 Tier-1 and 2 support for a worldwide internal and client-specific I.T. infrastructure ecosystem.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide IT support service over phone, email, remote assistance and chat.
    • Take proactive and reactive actions to correct client and infrastructure issues
    • Quickly and efficiently troubleshoot simple to complex issues in order to provide outstanding support for client and internal needs
    • Document, track and monitor client interactions to ensure timely resolution
    • Assist with developing an accurate Service Desk knowledge-base
    • Perform other duties as required by supervisor

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure; previous experience in infrastructure support or NOC/Operations environment is preferred.
    • High level of proficiency in written and verbal communication
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and achieve results in a high volume environment
    • Highly developed customer service skills evidenced in representing the organization through courteous and professional dealings with all clients
    • Knowledge of the following would be beneficial: ITIL, call center best practices, Microsoft products, and operating systems

    Job Description

    Reporting directly into the CEO, the Director of Human Resources works closely with the senior executive team at the strategic level to deliver high quality generalist human resource support across several national operational locations. This individual will carry end-to-end responsibility for the administration of the human resources function across all business operations for this rapidly growing technology innovator with 100+ employees.

    In addition to handling all personnel, compliance, employee relations, labor relations and staff development functions of the company, this is also a highly strategic position which requires impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to guide the senior level executive team in all human resources matters and serve as confidential counsel to management and staff alike. A solid understanding of California human resources law, practices and regulations, as well as relevant certifications is a plus.

    Scope and Core Responsibilities:

    The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for implementing, administering, and guiding the human resources function and within the company across all office and operational locations. A key member of the team, this individual will drive human resources strategy at the senior executive team level, as well as take a hands-on approach to driving company culture and employee engagement on every other level.

    • Originate and lead human resources practices and objectives within the company to provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce;
    • Serve on the executive management team to assist and advise the company on human resources issues across all operational locations, and ensure that the team has the right human resources input to make sound business decisions

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Plan and deploy OpenStack private clouds for our customers.
    • Facilitate knowledge transfer to the customers during deployment projects.
    • Work with the Unitas back-end teams to resolve issues and improve our processes.
    • Contribute to Unitas deployment knowledge base.
    • Integrate and implement supporting technologies such as open source monitoring tools.
