The COVID-19 Coronavirus presents a rapidly changing situation, demanding constant monitoring, communication, and operational agility. With our cloud-first strategy, Unitas is providing steady support and service to our clients with the tools and technology we use in our day-to-day operations. As many of our clients are now working remotely, Unitas has been diligently supporting changing requirements and helping our clients adjust.
One such client provides short and long-term care and rehabilitation for older adults, with facilities on the East Coast of the U.S. As the residents of care facilities like these are at the highest risk of being affected by COVID-19, the facilities are on “lock-down” with little opportunity for outside interaction.
Unitas is stepping in to support our clients during these challenging times by remotely enabling iPads at their 28 facilities to utilize Zoom conferencing software. This software provides the facilities with the capability to deliver remote medical assistance to the residents by connecting them with their doctors.
The conferencing software also provides a tool for residents to engage with family members while their facilities are limiting access to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 to the more vulnerable population there. During these challenging times, Unitas is using our capabilities to empower clients to enable work from home, connect with medical care, and encourage face time with family.
